Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) :
Is in charge of advancing Australia's national interest as well as strengthening Australia’s security and enhancing Australia’s prosperity.
The department provides foreign, trade and development policy advice to the government. They work with overseas government to make sure that Australia’s reach its goals of its global, regional and bilateral interests is coordinated effectively. This is related to Aid because this is related to foreign affairs.
The Joint Advisory Council (JAC) :
Co-chaired by Australian and PNG Departments of Foreign Affairs and Trade discuss tthe Torres Strat Cross Border Health Issues Committee (HIC) to identify concerns in the region and to work with the members to find appropriate strategies and resources if any concerns is identified.
World Humanitarian Day :
A day where people reflect on people around the world that are suffering without humanitarian needs.
